Translation Payment Information

Send and receive translation payments


Customer Payments

Payment is done through PayPal. Therefore, a PayPal account is required. The customer pays LingoTip after the customer accepts the translator's bid. The translator cannot submit the translation until the customer has transferred the payment to LingoTip. Funds are held in escrow by LingoTip.

Once you receive the translation you have one week to review the material. If you are not satisfied with the translation, you can submit a complaint via the Contact us link at the bottom of each page.

After one week the transaction is considered closed.

Translator Payments

Payment is done through PayPal. Therefore, a PayPal account is required. Make sure to read about PayPal charges on their site.

The customer transfers payment to LingoTip. The system does not allow the translator to begin working before the payment is made. This is to ensure that the translator will get paid.

Payments for work done in one month are made by the 20th day of the next month. So, for example, all work done in February 2011 will be paid by March 20th, 2011 into your PayPal account.

If there is a dispute regarding the translation, a LingoTip language coordinator will review the dispute. If the dispute is found to be justified, then the translator will not be paid.
