Translation Widgets
Create, manage and embed your translation widget
LingoTip provides you with a simple method to create multilingual content. To start creating your own widget, have a look at the links below:
Creating Your Widget
- To create a widget, click the embed box on the Home page. If you provide the translation, the widget is free!
- Paste your text in the Paste your Item Description here: box.
- Select the source and target languages and the level.
- Click Next and then Confirm.
Note: Flash text format is a subset of HTML. To check the syntax, hover with the mouse on the ? to the left of the Flash Preview button. You can see how the Flash will look by clicking the Flash Preview button.

Modifying Widgets
To modify an existing widget form
- Click the My LingoTip tab
- Click the CUSTOMER option.
- Click the Edit icon to the right of the transaction number that you want to modify.
To modify the content of a widget
- Click the My LingoTip tab
- Click the CUSTOMER option.
- Click the pencil icon to the right of the transaction number.
Advanced Widget Parameters
You are not required to modify the embedded code parameters.
However, you may find the following information useful.
- Shrinking or expanding Canvas dimensions is done through the changing Canvas size percentage Flash parameters. It can also be done manually by modifying the width and height code parameters.
- Selecting widget size is also done by selecting a size from the Flash parameters. It can also be done manually by editing the respective dimensions (320x320 / 520x320 / 520x620).
- If you want to change the displayed text language, then you should add &displayLang=56 where the number represents the language ID.
